May Book Release Update

Published May 1, 2015 by jnaomiay

Wow!  It’s the first of May and I’m actually on time to produce a May book release update.  I love May.  It’s always been one of my most favorite months of the year and not because my darling daughter was born in it, although that’s a good reason.  No, May is synonymous with the birds singing me awake in the morning, the sun still hanging limply in the sky at eight in the evening and flowers everywhere in bloom.  It’s also the time to plant tomatoes, although, invariably the slugs will eat them before the first of June, at which point I’ll plant them again, because no matter how many years I do this, I never learn.

May also reminds me of Vanessa Redgrave in medieval dress dancing around a maypole singing “It’s May.  It’s May, the lusty month of May,” something I’ve always wanted to do, but was never brave enough to follow through with.  ** Note- Bucket list item.

May also harkens the opening of boating season here in the boating capital of the world and since I am once again no longer boatless in Seattle, I look forward to a summer of adventures out on the water.

At any rate, book news from the writing desk is full of announcements.

First off, the Two Moons of Rehnor series is now once again widely distributed across the planet.  All novels excepting Fairy Tales and Gone for a Spin are at all major ebook retailers and no longer exclusively in the Amazon Kindle Unlimited universe.  ON May 3, Fairy Tales will follow the others transitioning over to iBooks, Kobo, B&N and the rest and on or about June 15, Gone for a Spin will do so as well.

I’m sorry to those of you in the KU program, but I’ve had too many asking for EPUB format and availability on devices other than Kindles.  Please note, the novels are available through the other subscription services like Oyster and Scribd as well as available for sale to your local libraries through Overdrive and Ingram for paperback copies.  Libraries are a great resource and most of them have the ability to take book requests from their patrons by filling out forms on line.  There’s no cost to you for doing this as it’s already taken from you through your local property taxes.

Other release news is that the audiobook for Of Blood & Angels has gone live.  It’s another fantastic rendition by the very talented Rebecca A. Reynolds and it is still available through Kindle Unlimited Program.  I invite you to have a listen, but you will want to listen to The Boy and My Enemy’s Son first which are also available through all ebook retailers and part of KU subscription.

I haven’t made any progress on the Journey to Rehnor series as I’ve been busily wrapped in a new book/new series which was a higher priority.  I’ll get back to the Journeys, hopefully during this summer and get two more segments out before fall in addition to the second book in the new series.

As to the new book/series, it is officially called “Return to Rehnor,” and the first book is entitled “Firesetter.”  The setting is roughly two hundred years in the future after Senya went off for a spin and once again, Rehnor is the armpit of the galaxy.  Other than that, I’m not going to reveal anything.  Well, actually, I will reveal this:  There is no one named Senya in it and neither is there anyone named Katie.

I’ve finished the first draft and am now diligently doing the hard part, snipping, adding, cutting, sewing, hopefully creating a new tapestry that will be as interesting as the last.

So, that’s the news from here.  Happy spring to all.
