We’ve got a full moon in June that will happen at the same time as the perigee which is the point in any month when the moon is closest to Earth. Combine a full moon with a perigee and you get a “supermoon”. In June, we’ll have an ultra super moon, as this will be the closest the moon will get for all of 2013. You’ll have to wait until August of 2014 to get another supermoon this size, so be on the look out. On June 22, the moon should appear equally as full which is cause for celebration as it just so happens to be my b’day. I plan to spend the evening standing outside and howling. Seems appropriate when one turns the half century mark.
